Having been a professional musician for over 50 years, Wiley has performed with many of today's top entertainers and celebrities. While performing for our last six presidents, he has backed singers ranging from Barbra Streisand to Michael Jackson.... His educational background includes graduating from Berklee College of Music / Arranging and Composition, with further studies at Catholic University and American University. He currently teaches jazz guitar at Wake Forest University, and has taught guitar and music at Prince George's College in Maryland, Catawba College in Salisbury, NC.
His background includes performances with many Broadway shows (Lion King, Beautiful, TINA, Mean Girls, Jagged Little Pill, MJ the Musical, The Wiz, Mrs. Doubtfire, Back to the Future, Charlie and Chocolate Factory, Matilda, Newsies, Something Rotten, Motown, Addams Family, Cats, Chicago, Hairspray, Fiddler, Les Miserables, West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Shrek the Musical, Big River, Starlite Express, Annie, Bye Bye Birdie, Evita, Fame, Grease. Legally Blonde, Cabaret, Hello Dolly, Anything Goes, 9 to 5, Avenue Q, For Me and My Gal, Three Penny Opera, Man of LaMancha, Spring Awakening, Ragtime, ) and recordings on Decca Records with the Baltimore Symphony Jean-Yves Thibeaudet. Performances of Rhapsody in Blue with Eastern Music Festival, as well as Charlotte, National, Winston, Florida, Baltimore, and Post Classical Symphonies. He toured for 20 years with Mr. Jack Daniel's Original Silver Cornet Band, as well as performing for 10 years at Opryland in Nashville, TN.
He has been a member of The American Federation of Musicians, Local 161-710 since 1975, and an Associate Member/Lifetime, of the Piano Technicians Guild since 1998.
